Ice Cream Van  NHH635

The ice cream van is a Morris J type with bodywork of an unknown origin dates from 1959

Since it arrived in 2003, our Tognarelli's ice cream van has been tucked away in various corners of the shed whilst we pushed it around to make room for other vehicles. Initial investigations confirmed the vey poor state it was in, particularly the wood framed bodywork.  The engine has been started but  other more pressing projects mean that it has been put into store until time and man power are available to restore it.

   

This restored 1957 Morris Minor 1000 based Tognarelli Ice Cream van won 3rd place at the Northumberland Vintage Tractor Club's 30th Steam and Vintage Tractors gathering in October 2004 at Brunton, Christon Bank, Alnwick, Northumberland. 949cc reg. No. YVS 329 Ice Cream Van. Owner: I.Gutherson, Rothbury, Northumberland. The vehicle participated in the Distington Vintage Vehicle Rally on 3 July 2005
