Jim Harkness

Jim Harkness was our health and safely officer who sadly died of cancer in July

 He passed away  on  Monday 27th July, at  Workington hospital having being diagnosed with  an  inoperable abdominal cancer only a few weeks before
Jim was in the late stages of a painstaking restoration of his 1950s Daimler car. Having had a lifetime's experience of operating and restoring vehicles, he was a source of wisdom and inspiration to all of us in the Trust, and will be sadly missed.
His funeral  took place at Distington crematorium  on August 4th  to which many trust members and friends travelled on 378 , a vehicle which Jim spent many hours working on.
